Small Talk 6 Saturday----Things That Make Me Sick, But I Eat'em Anyway!!

Small Talk Six Saturdays is a weekly Meme created by MomDot to engage conversations during the “slower” Blog Saturdays.Every week, those participating respond to a different topic. The response is done in 6; either 6 words, 6 paragraphs, photos etc…

This weeks Small Talk 6 topic is 6 things that make me sick, but I eat them anyway. I have GERD and IBS, so over the years I have learned to mostly avoid eating things that make me sick to eat. But sometimes I just give into temptation, and eat them anyway.

#1.) My most favorite of all and I eat this one quite often. Popcorn. But I suffer from it later.

#2.) Sausage--I love sausage, but I get horrible indigestion when I eat it. This causes some disagreements with Hubby. His favorite pizza is....you got it.....Sausage. But over the last 5 years, he's learned to comprise. We now get half and half pizza toppings.

#.3) Milk Shakes---I love milk shakes, but I get a bloated tummy feeling. I give into this one too. :)

#4.) Corn---It hurts my tummy too. But I do love corn on the cob.

#5.) Pickles--They give me indigestion. But come on, what's life without a dill pickle.

#6.) Mexican Food---Also gives me indigestion. But Hubby loves it, so I often give in and eat it.

I forgot about my Friday Fragments and Flashback Friday Photo. Stay tuned, I be back with that next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I have stomach problems too, so there is plenty I can't eat either! Mexican food doesn't agree with me either. Oh well, I figure it's for the best, keeps me from eating stuff I shouldn't! :-)

A few people wrote popcorn. I'm curious what kind of a reaction you have as I eat popcorn often with nothing but annoyance at the husks.

Mexican food sure does taste good. Too bad about the aftermath :)

All those foods sound DELICIOUS : ). I am glad you give in sometimes. It makes life more fun to break some of the rules, right? : ).

I love, love, love popcorn. It's my #1 all time favorite food. I rarely have trouble after I eat it (but I do have a stomach of steel). If you don't already try air popped popcorn...maybe it won't bother you as much?

I got so hungry reading your post...now I've got to figure out what's for dinner!

Love the Mexican food, can't get enough while we are home for a bit. My favorite, a pablano pepper stuffed with shredded chicken in a white spicy cream sauce. MMMM, my mouth is watering, oh so yummy, but oh hurts my tummy. Glad I don't live near Mexico anymore.

Hugs for your day,
Sarah Dawn

I agree with the Mexican food, but the sad part is when and if I do eat it, I get extremely sleepy after eating it.

YUUUMMM Mexican food! Some habanero salsa, some good enchiladas (with rice and beans) and big strawberry margarita and I'm good to go. Until the heartburn hits...then I eat more. And have a glass of milk. Don't ask...

Good list.

I don't have any issues with the stomach so I pretty much eat what I want....now that doesn't mean I "should" because being from the south, you know we are into the fried food stuff!!! :o)

Oh, gosh. Don't know WHAT I'd do without my Tex-Mex. In fact, I ate it TWICE yesterday! PS: Please don't forget to join our Sunday Funnies with a visit to Sx3 today!
