It's Small Talk 6 Saturday!!!

Small Talk Six Saturdays is a weekly Meme created by MomDot to engage conversations during the “slower” Blog Saturdays.Every week, those participating respond to a different topic. The response is done in 6; either 6 words, 6 paragraphs, photos etc…

Since this weekend is Mother's day, the topic is 6 ways you are like or unlike your Mother.

#1.) I used to think that this wasn't true, but the older I get, the more I look JUST like my Mama.

#2.) I am a out going kind of girl, just like my Mama.

#3.) I try to be a Woman of Excellence in Jesus, just like Mama!!

#4.) Mama and I both love to sew, garden, cook. We collect cookbooks and roosters for our kitchen. 2 peas in a pod.

#5.) I have a tender heart for the less fortunate just like Mama.

#6.) I can't think of anyone person I would want to be more alike that my Sweet Mama!!

Thank you Mama for giving me life and loving me, even when I was unlovable!! Those horrible Tween/teen years!!

I hope you all have a great Mother's day weekend!! We were supposed to have the kids, this weekend, but since it's Mother's day, we told Bio-mom that she could have them and have a good old time loving them!!!

In Christ,

I'm happy to be a lot like my mom too-and we look exactly alike too.

It's interesting as we get older (and especially become parents) to compare ourselves to our moms. I'm proud to say that I'm like my mom in many ways.

I'm imagining it's a quiet weekend without the kiddos around. Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome to SiTS! Em (an Atlanta girl myself, now transplanted to Texas. But my heart will always be wrapped in kudzu.)

You both sound so kindhearted. And I bet you have a boatload of roosters between the two of you collecting! Happy Mother's Day to you both :-)

Moms give us such wonderful examples to live up to in life. I only hope that I can do the same for my own children.

Lovely post!
