Feeling Much Better!!
I am feeling soooo much better! Thank you all for all the prayers you sent up for me. Yesterday afternoon, I was finally able to take a deep breath. Today, I have just been doing it and savoring the feeling. Ahhhh, it is good to breathe! lol!
I don't believe in coincidences, I know that the POWER of Prayer is a magnificent thing. My being able to breathe deeply and freely, on the same day as I asked for prayer, is a direct result of God's work. So again thanks all you prayer warrior out there.
I have mentioned, from time to time, my 2 lovable Maine Coon kitties. Lizzie and Elvis. Lizzie is Elvis' mom. We got Lizzie when she was 6 months old. I used to work at a veterinarian clinic and they had her picture posted to the bulletin board in the waiting room. She was sooo cute, and she was free! What more could I ask for right?
I took the picture home and the kids and I had a pow-wow. Hubby had said, No Pets. So we discussed ways to approach the subject with him. I didn't want to just show up with her. But once he saw her pretty picture...well the rest is history. We called the people up and then we went and got our Lizzie.

She has such a personality! Very prissy! She's definitely the boss around our house. We let her have one litter of kittens and then we got her spayed. I highly recommend spaying and neutering your animals. Much to much are abandoned. Out of the litter we kept Elvis.

He is such a goof ball, and he's huge! He is 14 inches long and probably weighs about 12lbs. Since we have had him since he was born, (Jacky and I watched Lizzie give birth to the kittens) he will let us do just about anything to him. We just roll him around like a big fur ball.
As you know I have no biological children, 3 step children and 2 nieces, so Elvis and Lizzie get a lot of my attention. Does that make me and old cat lady? I hope not. Ha!!
I also mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I want to start a meme on Wednesdays. I plan on doing that. But, in loo of being sick, I just haven't been on the ball with that. But it's coming. I promise! :)
I hope everyone has a great night.

I have been holdin' out on you guys.
When I was a kid, I took allergy shots twice a week for years. I finally seemed to beat not being able to breathe. Ha! My parents didn't really understand how dangerous asthma can be, so I would have asthma attacks and I can remember sleeping sitting up. I didn't ever go to the ER. It was just something I dealt with.
I guess that's sort of how I deal with it today. I don't want to bring any undue attention to myself. But sometimes I just can't breathe. My Hubby can't understand it. We live in a 2 story home, and there are times when just going up the stairs wipes me out. Walking around in my yard, looking at all my lovely flowers I planted weeks ago, wipes me out.
The reason I have been so asthmatic lately is due to being exposed to second hand smoke. I didn't even realize it at the time. We were staying in a hotel in a non-smoking room, but the room next to ours was a smoker. I guess there was cross ventilation.
This morning I am feeling the best I have felt in over a week. I can walk to the bathroom and not get short of breath. I'm not telling this to get pity or sympathy from anyone. I just wanted to talk about it. Over the weekend I watched the kids run around and I couldn't even walk to the bathroom. I felt so frustrated. They want me to be energetic and play with them outside and stuff. I usually do. I just couldn't this time.
Hubby wanted me to go on a family outing. He just couldn't understand. I couldn't breathe. I have a nebulizer breathing machine at home, I have all the inhalers and everything. I just have to take it slow and recover from the exposure to smoke. It's not something that gets taken care of in one day. It's a process.
Back at Christmas I had the same problem. Who knew that in Illinois, you need to have a humidifier in your home, because when it's -20 below outside, the air in your home is drier than a desert? I, being from a humid area like South Mississippi, didn't know that. We had to call 911 and have an ambulance come get me.
I know this is a rambling post. I just get discouraged with myself, because I want to be doing so many things, around my house, outside in the beautiful spring weather. You get the picture. I guess, I'm asking that you please pray that my lungs get better. It's so hard for me to ask for prayer for myself.
Thanks so much for listening to me ramble on, my thoughts are scattered this early morning.

Psalm 1 "Blessed is he who shall follow the Lord....."
This is one of my most favorite Psalms. When my Bobo (grandpa) passed away this was the scripture read at his funeral. I find myself singing this Psalm in my head quite often.
The more we are immersed in God's word the more it is alive within us. Lately I have been so busy, that I haven't been reading my Bible the way I should. And it is true, if we aren't dwelling in the Word, then we aren't as close to the Father as we are when we are in HIs Word daily.
I am so thankful that I have the tools of memory, to bring forth scripture, even when I am not reading the Bible. I find myself constantly reciting verses in my head or singing a hymn, or some little song I learned in Vacation Bible School. But nothing is a substitute for daily reading God's Word.
Dear God, Please forgive me for not being in Your Word daily. I ask that you will give me the thrist to go daily and drink from my Bible.
I ask these things in Your Son, Jesus name.
Amen
